Treatment

I came up with this idea while lying awake in bed sometime around four in the morning. My animation will start out with a scene of a girl lying on her side asleep in bed. I plan to have an elaborate bedroom with lots of details and hold this shot for a few seconds. Then a stream of gold will start flowing into this girls nose as she breathes in, and a stream of black will flow out when she breathes out. At this point there will be a closer shot of her head and the streams in which there will be different obscure shapes. Round ones in the gold, and jagged ones in the black. Then I will go back to a long shot of the room, while the girl continues to breath she will rise up on the bed, a glow will surround her, the streams will cease, her eyes will be closed with her head tilted slightly back, her hair flowing around as if a wind were blowing. For her nightgown i'm imagining a long dress with lots of blues and greens. As she is rising the rest of the light in the room will slowly fade. She will move her arms up, as she is doing so she starts to grow larger. She keeps growing larger and larger until she is towering above her house, then the city, and eventually the entire earth will be just a small ball to support her feet. Here we will see her serene and observing the universe around her, i'm thinking flying stars, a few spinning planets, and whatever else i actually have time to animate that fits into the concept. I'm considering ending the sequence with a close up shot of her eyes opening with two planets replacing the eyes.
I’m going to need some help with finding techniques for accomplishing this animation. I’m thinking of using a small amount of rotoscoping for the close ups of the girl breathing, and the streams of gold and black flowing in and out of her nose. I know I will use parenting and the 3d camera effect in after effects for her rising from the bed and the camera coming closer to her. For the bedroom I’m thinking about combing still shots and photoshop effects, perhaps creating a looping background, which I plan to make longer then three frames this time around. The part where she grows and everything starts to diminish beneath her feet, I guess I would use after effects and play around with the different constraints such as scale and position. I’m interested in creating some of the object by hand in photo shop, and perhaps even do some stop motion (with a super 8 camera if I’m able to reserve one). I’ve also considered using the multi-plane animation technique I learned in 6 x 1. I do need some advice and or suggestions on other possible techniques, and plan to talk to Andre one on one about other possibilities in after effects.
